Bluegrass Speedway in Bardstown, Kentucky Good Venue for Dirt Modified Racer

(October 22nd, 2008) -- Bluegrass Speedway Season in Bardstown, Kentucky ended well for Josh Lucas. He went into the event sitting at third place in overall track championship points. He also needed a good run to hold on to his third place position.

Lucas had a great starting spot for the twenty lap main event. He jumped out to an early lead after the green flag dropped. He fought his competitors and several cautions in his family owned Lucas dirt modified with K&N products.

Jason Wheatley pressured Lucas for most of the race but fell off in the final five laps. This gave Lucas the little room he needed to come home with his first victory at Bluegrass Speedway in 2008. Lucas was only 25 points short for second place overall in the series.

Lucas had seven top five positions at Bluegrass during the season. He stayed in the top ten position throughout the season for the rest of the track races.  Josh Lucas Racing uses K&N filters on everything they have to help maintain their track standings.
