Josh Lucas Racing Visits Victory Lane for First Time in 2010 at Richmond Raceway

AUGUST 3rd, 2010 (ST. LOUIS, MO) Josh Lucas Racing unloaded at Richmond Raceway in Richmond, Ky last Saturday July 31. Twenty three dirt modifieds were on hand looking for a trip to victory lane but the #78 team would be the team to celebrate. Lucas started the night off on the right foot as he qualified in the 5th position. His qualifying effort put him on the outside pole of the heat race and he would go on to take the heat race win.
Josh Lucas started on the outside pole for the twenty lap feature event. He found himself in a heated battle with the #75 Despain and #11 of Russ Gabbert who was on a hot streak winning 7 straight races at Richmond Raceway. Lucas jumped out to the early lead and would hold it with the top 3 fighting for position the whole race. Three late race cautions due to spins would keep the fans on their feet but Lucas would get a good jump every time to hold the position. Josh Lucas held the top spot flag to flag and would go on to take his first trip to victory lane during the 2010 racing season. The win also marks the first time Lucas has won a feature event in the new Larry Shaw modified the team purchased in July of last year.
